Adjudication
Performance videos are adjudicated by professional musicians who are not affiliated with the Rochester Community Concert Band. Three adjudicators, specializing in brass, woodwind or percussion will evaluate performances only in their instrument category. All finalists will be notified of the judges’ decision by a member of the RCCB via phone or e-mail and their names will be published on the RCCB website. The adjudicators reserve the right to withhold an award if none of the applicants is deemed meritorious.
The first-place award recipient in each instrument category will be invited to perform their solo selection, with their piano accompanist, at the Rochester Community Concert Band’s Spring concert on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 7:30 at Oakland University’s Varner Hall. All students selected as award recipients are invited to attend the May 5th concert to be recognized for their achievements.
